I've decided to go Friends only, not that what I have to talk about is extremely private, but I think I prefer to have some control over who reads it :) If you add me and want me to add you, please, comment below ^_^

I took down almost everything from the sidebars, except for the Last.FM album covers thingy *points below* with the intention of giving the blog a more 'cleaner' look, which I prefer. But I kinda miss the Last.FM list, so inspired by Alice's 'Weekly Top Ten', I'm gonna be grabbing my weekly artist top-20 (because 10 is never enough XD) at Last.FM and posting it here. Feel free to comment with your opinions or ask if there's any artist you don't know and want some info on :)
(In brackets the number of songs of the artists I listened to along the week)

  1. Elbow (44)

  2. Los Rodrguez (18)

  3. Regina Spektor (17)

  4. Bjrk (5)

  5. Goldfrapp (4)

  6. Los Planetas (4)

  7. Radiohead (3)

  8. Sarah Slean (3)

  9. CocoRosie (3)

  10. Rachael Yamagata (2)

  11. Charlotte Martin (2)

  12. Death Cab for Cutie(2)

  13. Air (2)

  14. Metric (2)

  15. Stars (2)

  16. Eisley (1)

  17. Fiona Apple (1)

  18. Poe(1)

  19. Charlotte Gainsbourg (1)

  20. The Wallflowers (1)

Apparently, I didn't listen to much music this week, at least not on my laptop anyway.

Oh, and on a related note, I made my music collection list. It's still a work in progress, but that's a big part of what I have. I plan to do the same with my DVDs too :)

Fanmixes = Fandoms + Music Just for that, I'm gonna be interested. A very different thing is to actually take the time to sit down and select a bunch of songs that serve as a soundtrack of that particular fandom. A couple of months ago, I decided to give it a try and started scribbling down tunes that I could use for my very first fanmix, for Kate and Sawyer from Lost (shocking, right? I know! :P). I had a long list, and got lazy at the moment I had to start cutting down, and compiling the songs, making the cover art... you know. But right now, I have great, awesome motivation to do it (Krissy, I love you! XD). It's a bit scary, because it's my first one, and the songs will probably be inspiring for me and me alone, so I'm not sure of its success as a fanmix LOL But the songs are nice! Most of my favorite musicians are there, and I would have liked to include more, but oh well, I think this compilation does a good job summing up Kate and Sawyer and their relationship along the series alright, at least for me.
Follow the cut for the full-sized cover art, some lyric excerpts and the links to download the fanmix: you are everything I cannot see as the ocean crawls onto the shoreline )

Ooook, that was intense. Apparently this episode was a bit longer than the others, but I really didn't notice. Whey they cut to 'Lost' at the end I was like 'what? already?' Despite the whole emotional load of the episode, it's got a good thing, I can do a regular one-time line recap, not a 'island first, off-island afterwards' one, not one with huge holes to be filled in next episodes. This was, as the title promised 'The life and death of Jeremy Bentham'. We had been anticipating this since the season 4 finale, and I think it did pay off :D
So on with the show!
I was angry. I was... ob-obsessed )

I've been moving things around a bit. Besides re-organizing the portfolio with a new layout I had forgotten to put up and the closed fanlistings one, I also decided to moved the 2009 challenge to Mildly Free. I mean the Movies/Books/Episodes in 2009 lists I was keeping in my LJ. I think I find it easier to update here, so there you go!. Also, the Ask a question section is now part of the Visitor page, partly because it was such a lonely page and partly because it is actually a visitor activity, so ask away! I promise I'll try to tell the truth :P
And last, I revamped my Quilt. I wanted to have something different to the script's default layout and I liked how it turned out. It's very simple, but I like the colors :D

Wow. What an episode. When I knew it was gonna be O6-centered I thought I would miss the left-behinders, especially after how they left things there last week, but seriously, I didn't even have time to think about them (shame on me!). Anyway, on to the good stuff.

We're not going to Guam, are we? )

'The little prince' was probably my favorite episode of the season so far. I know that it wasn't as action-packed as the previous three, and that was probably why. I mean, if you give me an episode like this one as the first one of the season, I will probably be left asking for more, but after those three episodes, I welcome a bit of calm... or whatever that is in Lost-world. I loved the scenes where the characters finally take the time to talk about what the hell is going on, it felt like a breath of fresh air. And there was a couple of good surprises! So, here we go, you know the drill: SPOILERS AHEAD!

the ending was so opened that you can't even call it cliffhanger )

After some thinking and slight pressure from my dearies at VegOpt, I decided to rejoin The Quilting Bee. I used to be part of it a long long time ago, when I had a personal site, and I thought it would be fun to start again.
I'm currently waiting for approval, but I can't wait to start trading ^_^

It's actually the second time I write this recap, something weird happened to my browser and lost the whole entry as I was pasting the last image, so I'm kinda exhausted. But it's ok, it's Lost :D

Can you spell awesome? A-W-E-S-O-M-E. And that's another word for Lost episode 5x03 - Jughead.
There's quite a few things to comment, so we'd better get started!

Gotta learn how to speak the language of the enlightened )

I'm still a little bit shaken up after the Lost episodes, and there are so many things I want to comment on that I don't even know where to start, I guess the beginning is just as good a place as any :)  From this week on, I'll try to post every week about the new Lost episode. It's not gonna be exactly a recap, but more like my thoughts while watching the episode and my opinions/theories about it. I will be adding a few screencaps, so if you haven't seen the episodes yet, read at your own risk :)

SPOILER WARNING! (5X01 - 5X02)

It wasn't a dream, Penny. It was a memory )
